Thank Yous for Katie

My Aunt Sandy asked me to make some 'thank you' notes for my cousin Katie's upcoming baby shower. She sent me the theme Katie is using for her nursery for inspiration. Since she has received the cards, I thought it would be nice to go ahead and share what I did. The following is the theme she is using in the nursery followed by the cards I came up with.

Letting go

As I mentioned in my last post, I haven't been crafting too much simply because of life. In July, my husband was bitten in the face by someone elses dog and we spent weeks caring for that. Then one of my dogs, Zoe, became ill, so she spent a few days at the vets receiving care. Luckily, she bounced back once her diagnosis was confirmed and she began medication.
The story doesn't end as well for another of my dogs, Taylor, who had begun to show signs of not feeling well during the same time as Zoe. Upon taking Taylor to the vet, they found that she had late stage cancer and we brought her home to be with us for her last few days. Last night, she let us know it was time so we took her to start the next part of her journey. We stayed with her and held her until she was gone.
Now, we are back home and are trying to adjust to being without one of ours. I don't know how soon I will be back to crafting or making cards, but thanks for stopping by and checking in.

I've been AWOL

But I haven't been idle. Life gets in the way of crafting and I've had so much 'life' lately that I'm about full up.
I have, however, found time to make a few cards and am working on orders, albeit slowly. Here are a couple that I have done recently. If you have any questions about what was used or how something was done, please feel free to ask. I generally don't like to muck up my blog with instructions that most people don't care about!!!

I made this card for a friend who has had a tough go of it lately. She is so sweet so I thought this Anya image would be great for the sentiment.



The inside reads "when you didn't hit or bite anyone". :D I LOVE that!!!

Just a few cards

I have been really busy lately and when I get home from work (real work, even!!) sometimes my hands are too tired or too shaky to do much crafting. But these are what I have done lately. Hope you enjoy!

Niece's invites

My eldest niece asked me to make her wedding invites and thank you notes. I was tickled for a chance to help out. She is having an outdoor wedding, very casual and very cheerful. Below is what I came up with. I will also make her favor boxes, but since I just picked up one of the favors today, I don't have anything to post yet. :D I did, as you will notice, blur out her personal info.

Shower door prizes

My niece is getting married soon and I put together two small sets of cards as door prizes for her bridal shower this weekend.
