Stuff sent to Jan and Mark

I have two friends who are in the car group I belong to who are married to one another.  I sent them the following, one (the vinyl decal) as a gift, the other as a bday card.  I love doing stuff like this!!

Sweet as candy!!

I saw this card on another blog and just fell in love.  I even used the baker's twine to replicate the lollipops.  I used a candy brad and a cupcake brad as well.  Just a cute card that has multiple uses.

I received a kite stamp from A Muse as a freebie and immediately thought of the following cards.  I used the A Muse cloud die to cut the clouds as well.  The sentiments were all from other companies.

Colorful thoughts

I made the following cards after being inspired by this one.  Mine are too close to Leah's to just be 'inspired', though.  I would say I copied it.  :-)

Butterlies, butterflies....everywhere!!!

Made some cards with butterflies lately.  Each one has a different sentiment either on the outside or the inside.  The first two, I used die cut butterflies and pierced the cardstock for their flight tails.  The second set, I stamped and colored a butterfly and then cut it out, covered it with double-sided tape and used Beadies on it.  So awesome for the effect.

Oh snap!

I found this set of MFT stamps and fell in love with it.  I used the Memory Box daisy die for the flower.

TAC skunks

I really hate that The Angel Company is gone.  I love my little skunk set from them.  Here are three different cards I made using two of the skunks from the set.  Sentiments were other stamps or computer generated.

This first one, I flocked the white in the tail and the face.

Lagging behind again...

I've been making cards, I promise!  I just haven't been posting about them!

So, to remedy that, here are a couple that I have made recently.  I love the dog chasing his tail and then I found the sentiment stamp to go with it.

I used a Memory Box daisy die for this card.  I used the embossing pad instead of a regular cutting mat, so it embossed and didn't cut it out.  I inked the die before placing it face down on my cardstock.  Same concept as letterpress, but a little different.

I LOVE the micro font from Die Versions at Scrapyland.  I cut out the 'triumph' from it.  The size fits cards so well.

One this one, I just found a monkey image online and printed it out and then colored it with the Gamsol method and Prisma color pencils.

Anniversary card for my sister for her hubby

My sister asks me to make cards for her from time to time.  This time, it's for an anniversary card for her husband.  All I had was the sentiment and the color (green) to go on.  Here's what I came up with:

Two of the same, but slightly different

See, I told you I was trying this whole 'multiples' out.  : D

Sick mice

I love this stamp by House Mouse, so I use it a lot for get well cards.  Here are the latest two that I have made, including the blue one, which I used my new Die Versions Micro Font for the 'get well soon'.  It took forever to figure out how to use the tiny die, but I did and now I LOVE IT!!!

Three of the same, only different

I am trying so hard to make multiples of cards I make----which is so difficult when I try to personalize each card for the person I am making it for.  however, I have been caught too many times with no time to make a card that I need to send NOW, so I'm trying this approach.

Thank yous for the various help Chris and I have received.

More guy cards

I got a couple of stamps from a great friend of mine and I quickly got to work on making some much needed guy cards.  The car and the black motorcycle, I used glossy accents on the 'paint' of the vehicle and it turned out pretty cool.  The blue motocycle I left alone.

Playing with skulls

I got this idea from another blog and thought it was an awesome guy card.  So, I played around with different variations and will make some for girls, too, only in pink and black.  : D
The first card, I cut the skulls with SCAL and the second I used an EK Success punch (which took forever!!!).  I made another SCAL cut card with only two skulls, but forgot to get pics before I sent it off!

Various birthday cards

I needed to catch up on some birthdays, so I made up the ones you see here.  I had folks in mind when I made them, though I just happened to make them all at one time --VERY unusual for me!!

My Christmas gift

My sweetie bought me a new toy for Christmas.  He bought me an adjustable pen/marker holder from Amy Chomas and it works with my cutting machine.  It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO awesome.  It expands what I can do with my cutter without having to buy the expensive name brand --and LIMITED colors--- markers.  Here is a link to Amy's site http://amychomas.blogspot.com/ and below is my first attempt with my new toys.  I used two different colors of her mini gel pens in the adjustable holder and SCAL for the font I wanted.  The butterfly was a punch.  I just used a scoring pad for the lines.

Hospital stay

Made this simple little 'get-well' card for a friend who landed in the hospital.  Hope it helped to cheer the day.

Thank You set

I saw a similar card a while back and thought it was so simple and elegant.  I had most of the bits needed to recreate the card (with my own twist, of course) and this is what I came up with.  Hard to mail, though, because the flowers are pretty thick.  These I generally just hand out or send with a package.
