For baby!!

A friend is pregnant with her first baby, so I thought of these two onsies to make.  She thought they were both cute and funny. 

Laneylicious kitty!!

I made this T-shirt for one of my nieces.  Her Aunt Tami gave her the nickname "Laneylicious" and she is currently favoring Hello Kitty as her icon.  What better way to combine the two?  :D
I used SCAL to create and cut both the name and the Hello Kitty.  I then used fabric paint and rhinestones to color and accentuate.  I sure hope she likes it, but 8 yr olds can be fickle!!

I can do it, I can do it!!!

After a few stumbles, I have figured out how to make design templates for rhinestones!!  I.e., I can make a design, cut it out, and put rhinestones instead of fabric paints or vinyl!!  Oh, the possibilities!!

Here is the original design I made, followed by the one I created to incorporate rhinestones!!

New shirts

I've spent a little time playing with designs lately for T shirts for the new shop.  Here are two that I have finished, the green one being the first of the two.  I am working on other designs (which ROCK, might I add!) and will get those posted once they are ready to go.  Oh, and that's my handsome hubby playing model!!

Couple of cards

I am making some cards for my youngest nieces that have all moved away.  Here are the two that I have finished so far.

FINALLY!!!

After quite a hiatus, I am back to work.  Here is a layout that is part of a commissioned project that I am working on.  The picture is not what should be there, but I don't want to use the ones specified, else I give away what it is and who it's for (should they happen upon this blog!!).  I also excluded the title, for that is a tell-tell sign as well.
This project will take up most of my time for a while, considering I am on a deadline for it.  I will also work on other projects and orders and will post those accordingly.  TFL!!

A different kind of project

There hasn't been much crafting going on lately....at least in the terms of cards or gifts.  I have been spending quite a bit of time working on the house we purchased back in Oct.  My hubby and I are doing all of the work ourselves (with the additional help from BIL, Darryl) and I have been too tired to do anything else, despite having LOTS of ideas and inspiration. 
Here are a few pics of what we have been working on.  We are hopeful to get it finished within a week, two tops.

Here is where a doorway was, that we decided to close in and make a master bath (joined to the master bedroom via an old closet that we made a walk-through):

Here is an extra closet in the LR that we closed in only to open up in the adjoining room to make it an actual bedroom:

And then lastly, we have been working on sanding the floors....and wow--what an undertaking!!!

So, in a nut shell...that's been all the fun!!  I'll try to get some things crafty posted up soon.......
